WILLY DE MOYA

In 2014, while I was looking for musicians to form GRIM COMET, I started giving guitar lessons.

This set my roadmap until 2020 when the pandemic hit, alternating teaching with touring with my band inside and outside of Spain. I've released several studio albums where I've implemented everything I've learned from studying and teaching. Besides my studio/live work and teaching, since 2020 I've added an online component with YouTube and TikTok channels.

Being a musician in the 2020s means having many options available to make a living. I would like to continue with this balance I've found among the three, although I recognize that it varies over time, and sometimes I have to dedicate more time to one area than another, postponing different goals I have.

It's very enriching to be in contact with the guitar community; it's something I don't want to detach from and is tied to my constant training as many other great guitarists have done before me, like Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, or Steve Vai.

During this time, I've always combined teaching with live and studio activity. I believe it's essential for developing as a musician, always putting into practice in class what I learned on stage and vice versa.

I've also participated in various cover band projects, developed soundtracks for short films for production companies that have won awards like the Goyas, and regularly toured with my band GRIM COMET across SPAIN and CHINA as headliners. Additionally, my music has been played on major national radio stations and fashion shows like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada's at MADRID FASHION WEEK.

Soon I'll be touring with my solo repertoire, as well as doing a MASTERCLASS TOUR called PREACHING THE BLUES where I'll present my guitar method at different schools across the national scene.

Follow me so you don't miss anything.

REVIEWS

★★★★★

"El nivel técnico con la guitarra y lo bien que explica la técnica y los ritmos son excepcionales."
Sus clases son distendidas y a la vez exigentes, lo que me hace progresar clase a clase. Hace el aprendizaje fácil y me apoya cuando me quedo atascado. Envía las tareas al final de cada clase, junto con partituras y enlaces a YouTube, lo que facilita el estudio en casa. Lo mejor de todo es escucharle hablar sobre cultura musical: es un prodigio de la guitarra y de la enseñanza.
